Saturday

Have a great Weekend!

Whats going on this weekend in your neck of the woods?
Dave and I have a busy weekend. And after this week's white out I am looking forward to
getting out and about. I am busy dancing around the house preparing for Dave's parents to arrive.
We are serving Brunch today and on the Menu are Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (Yum), a fresh citrus salad and hot coffee (of corse):

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes
This recipe is adapted from the Alberta Egg Producers.
4 eggs, separated
1 tub (250 grams) or 1 cup (250 ml) ricotta cheese
3 tbsp (50 ml) sugar
½cup (125 ml) all-purpose flour
zest of one lemon
2 tbsp (25 ml) butter
2 cups (500 ml) strawberries, diced
sugar to taste

In a large mixing bowl, whisk egg yolks, ricotta cheese, sugar, flour and lemon zest.
In another bowl, whip egg whites with a mixer until glossy peaks form. Stir about one-quarter of the whites into the ricotta mixture, then fold in the remaining whites gently.
Melt butter in pan over medium heat, drop batter on using small ladle or large spoon. I used a ¼-cup (50-ml) measure.) Flatten slightly, then let cook for about two minutes per side until lightly browned. Top with macerated strawberries. (I know...yum) via
Than its off to DC to mill around at a museum or two and grab some dinner and than we see STOMP.
Its in DC this weekend and we are so excited!
I hope your weekend is full of adventure, or relaxation, whatever you require...
Until Monday {xox}

Friday

A love story session...

I stumbled across Baltimore photographer Leo Djiwatampu this morning and I fell in love with this Story Sequence that Allison and Evan used for their engagement photos. First may I say, I love that red dress, {like I love it so much I could take it home and where to sleep in, so much}. Secondly, what a creative idea! I haven't considered a story sequence created for this occasion before and now I am mixing up all sorts of ideas in my head. Man, don't you love that red dress? My heart is all 'aflutter' for it.

Thursday

Paper Sculptures...

Lets begin this conversation by saying that all of these beautiful installation pieces were made primarily with paper. The artist is Kristen Hassenfield and her paper sculptures are absolutely unreal to me. I would love to see one of her creations on top of my Christmas tree each year. What do you think?

Wednesday

Delicious Advertising

There is something about good advertising that I really enjoy.
Its like cooking, you find the perfect blend of spices that mix together to create a dish that no one will forget. And if you are lucky, people will request your dish again and again...
This campaign by French Connection really has that going on.
I love the Woman and Curves headline,
I feel like curvy women all over just smiled and say "YES!" to that one...

bon appetit... {xox}

Monday

Some Creative Flare for your next project...

Have you discovered Daily Drop Cap yet?

Just a little envious today...

Where to start, the pink stockings {love them} paired with those framed extra lovely. That pink dress with the bows...xox. And that coat with the over sized bottoms I adore it a thousand times over!
